The Cancer League's 50th Anniversary Holly Ball, The Golden Gala, was held this past Friday, December 1st, at Claremont Country Club. The event, chaired by Melissa Partovi, was attended by 220 generous supporters who came together to raise over $350,000.

The 2022-2023 funding cycle was our most successful cycle yet! Because of the generosity of our donor community, we were able to fund a record-breaking 14 grants. Our 2023 applicant pool was incredibly impressive, full of breakthrough research studies, thoughtful treatments and supportive patient services. We are thrilled to introduce you to some of our 2022-2023 grant recipients below.

The Cancer League’s 10th annual Spring Soirée event was a beautiful, community-developed, fundraising event. Twenty-three very generous ateliers and shops donated 25% of their proceeds, totaling $100,000, to ground-breaking cancer research at its earliest stages.

Our 49th Annual Holly Ball event was an absolute success! The black-tie event was attended by over 200 generous supporters who came together to raise over $500,000, a record for our organization!

The 2021-2022 funding cycle was a huge success. After the COVID-19 crisis, funding for cancer research was scarce but the ideas that researchers had were still ground-breaking. Our incredible grant applicants blew us away with their intelligence and ingenuity.

Oh what a night - a Medieval Knight! The Cancer League hosted its' 48th annual Holly Ball on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Claremont Country Club. It was exciting to come together again after having hosted last year's event virtually.

Soirée d’Été was a smashing success! The annual ‘Sip and Shop for Survivorship’ event featured shopping, cocktails and a buffet dinner at Claremont Country Club’s lovely indoor dining room and lounge. Even with last minute logistical hurdles and limiting our number of guests, we raised a record amount of money for the fight against cancer.

The 2020-2021 funding cycle brought us another impressive group of grant applicants. With COVID-19 taking the forefront of many philanthropic efforts, it was more important than ever for us to ensure that cancer research and programs continued to receive essential funding in the fight against this horrific disease.

For the Cancer League, 2020 will forever be remembered as the year of our first ever (and hopefully last!) virtual Holly Ball! Community members rallied together through their generous donations and we will forever be grateful.
